Ohayocon 2015 was my 3rd year of attendance to the con and by far my favorite. The con takes place around the end of January every year at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. Like many conventions the layout is a bit confusing since it is a large area but you can usually figure it out during the first day there.

This year's Ohayocon had around 15,000 attendees and on top of the convention there was also a cat show and beer festival taking place in the same convention center. The con only takes up part of the convention center so they usually book multiple events for that weekend so don't be surprised if you go and see people from a cat show or a cheer leading competetion at the con. Anyway back to stuff about Ohayo, there are many great cosplayers to see at this convention and many nice people to meet. The convention has a pretty neat gaming room but can fill up pretty quickly but it is worth checking out while there. The dealers hall is very large and a bit crowded but has a lot of interesting vendors to buy from. The entire con is in the one building and has a few good locations to shoot at but since some areas can be more crowded be cautious where you take pictures. Like any other convention you will end up walking a lot here so make sure to pack some extra shoes if you want.

The convention center has a food court with many places to choose from but there are also restaurants around the area you can eat at as well. For those wondering about the rave, Ohayocon's rave is alright but I personally did not enjoy them since the DJ's seemed to only play a small variety of music. My personal experience with this con has been pretty good, I met many people at the con this time around including my amazing friend, Victory Cosplay. This con was great and I highly recommend it to anyone who is considering going BUT if you go don't forget to bring a coat cause it gets really cold! Stay safe everyone!
