         Midwest Media Expo is a small con at the Renaissance Centern in Detroit Michigan. The con is run by the same people who run Youmacon and it is at the same location. Midwest Media Expo is a brand new con and 2015 was only it's second year running.

 

          Since the con is pretty new and similar to Youmacon I will be keeping this very short. For only being in its second year the con had a pretty good amount of epople and is picking up momentum since it is associated with a Youmacon. The food court is exactly the same the main differences are that the con is only held in the Ren Cen, instead of being in the Ren Cen & Cobo Hall,  and it is a lot less crowded. The dealers room is much smaller than youmacons as is the game room but they are both put together very well and have very good vendors and games. The rave at Midwest is pretty good since they hire some of the same DJ's as Youmacon. All in all this con is basically a smaller version of Youmacon which is very nice if you like having a more relaxed enviroment.           I would highly recommend this con to people who love smaller cons and love relaxing eviroments or if you just need a break from all the big cons this is a very nice small con to take a breather at or do a test run of your next big cosplay. Stay safe and have a great con season everyone!
